Components

  • 6 Headbands
  • 200 Cards
  • 24 Chips
  • Timer
  • Rulebook

Object of the Game

Be the first player to get rid of all your Chips!

Setup

Separate the Sample Question Cards and deal one to each player. Mix up the Clue Cards and place them face down in the center of the playing area.

Each player takes a Headband and adjusts it around their head. Make sure the Hedbanz logo is above your eyebrows and centered on your forehead.

Deal one Clue Card face down to each player. Without looking at the Clue side of the Card, players insert their Clue Card into the clip of their Headband so all the other players can see the Clue.

Deal three Chips to each player. Any remaining Chips become the "bank".

Game Play

  • The tallest player goes first. Then, play passes to the left.

  • On your turn, flip over the Timer and ask the other players "yes" or "no" questions to help you identify the Clue in your Headband.

  • The Sample Question Cards show sample questions you could ask to help you figure out what you are. They are only a guide; you don't have to ask them.

  • The only question you cannot ask is "What am I?" At any point you may ask, "Am I a ...?"

  • The other players can only answer your questions with "YES", "NO", "COULD BE" and "I DON'T KNOW".

  • If you guess the Clue before the Timer runs out, take another Clue Card and put it in your Headband. (Remember not to peek!) Continue asking questions until the Timer runs out. For each Clue Card you guess correctly, put one of your Chips in the bank. Then it becomes the next player's turn.

  • If you do not guess your Clue before time runs out, keep it and continue to guess what it is on your next turn.

  • At any point during your turn you can give up trying to guess a Clue. If you do, you must collect one Chip from the bank and are dealt a new Clue Card. Play continues until the timer runs out.

End of the Game

The first player to get rid of all their Chips is the winner!
